We warmly welcome any organisation or individual who is interested and/or involved in transportation safety and human factors research to the HUMANIST network. Current members include universities, research and technology institutes and research-based companies.

Specific Benefits for New Members

Organisations interested in becoming a member of HUMANIST can benefit from a “grace period” of a maximum of one year during which they will pay a 50% discounted membership fee (€1000). During this “grace period” year they can:

• Participate in HUMANIST network meetings.
• Register one employee for free at the HUMANIST Summer School (applies only to institutional memberships).
• Register employees/individuals at the reduced registration fee for the HUMANIST conference.

After this “grace period” a formal candidature needs to be submitted to the General Assembly of HUMANIST Members. The HUMANIST President will then inform the applicant of the decision.

Continued membership into a second year and beyond offers members the full benefits detailed above. 

Membership Fees

Full institutional membership for one year (from the 1st of January to the 31st of December) is €2000.
